Nortec Collective - Mama loves Nortec.
This band is the first known to mix elements of Mexican Tambora, Norteño and electronic music thus the name came about. They are from Tijuana, Mexico and heard all over latin America, I’ve gotten to experience them live. Young djs, older bearded chubby dudes with their extravagant suits playing their accordions, tubas, clarinets and in this occasion the entire Tijuana symphony. It was grand, never seen anything like it in my existence. They were recently nominated for two latin grammys, behold the innovation, I’ve suddenly gotten the dancing urge.
